Service plans, warranty date, contract dates and transaction information are not tied to the Device, but rather to a Service Identifier so that Devices can be swapped out without disrupting the integrity of the relationship.

Trouble tickets, comments and swap information are tied to both the Service Identifier and the Device allowing visibility into a Device's history.
