Listeners
Listeners receive all event traffic on either a HTTP, UDP or batch FTP connection, acknowledge receipt from the device and then queue the event for processing by the device adapter.

The intrinsically high volume of data produced by large populations of M2M devices, often exacerbated by event queueing during even short term connectivity outages, demands extreme performance and load processing capacity.

The Listeners are the first stage in M2M Suite's multi-stage processor, designed to accommodate large spikes in traffic with minimumal dependencies on other technologies, delivering a high level of resilience during outage and load conditions.
Key Features
  • Batch Processing
Historical or system generated data can be loaded in batch and processed by the Listeners via an FTP upload on a one-time or recurring basis.
  • Pull Processing
If required, M2M Suite can support requirements to periodically call out to other systems to request information and pull it into the Listeners for processing.
  • Multi-Stage Design
The Listeners (and complete backend system) were designed from the ground up to withstand the rigors of M2M processing requirements and data volumes.
